WELCOME TO CHILDREN'S PODIATRY

Why Yarraville Families Choose Children's Podiatry

At Children's Podiatry, we focus on the unique foot and lower-limb needs of babies, children and teenagers. Whether you're concerned about how your child walks, recurring foot pain or their development, our team takes the time to assess their situation and provide personalised advice. exercises, or orthotics where needed.

Experienced Children's Podiatrists

Our podiatrists have over 20 years combined experience and have undertaken additional training to make sure your child (and you!) feels comfy and cared for.

Safe, Play Based Assessment

Overly clinical, lab-like offices can be overwhelming and you won't get natural walks or play, hindering care outcomes. That's why our staff offer child and neuro-affirming approaches, and use indoor and outdoor fun spaces with obstacle courses and equipment for comprehensive assessments.

All Kinds of Foot Care for Growing Bodies

From walking concerns to foot pain and developmental differences, we provide thorough assessments and personalised treatment options and at home exercises, involving parents throughout the process.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about your visit.

What age children do you treat?

We see children from infancy through to adolescence, with assessments and treatment options tailored to their age, development and individual needs.

When should I take my child to a podiatrist?

If you've noticed ongoing foot or leg pain, unusual walking patterns, frequent tripping or concerns about your child's foot development, a podiatry assessment can help you understand what's happening and whether any treatment or monitoring is needed.

What happens during my child's first appointment?

Your child's initial consultation is at least 30 minutes. We'll discuss their health and development, assess their feet and walking, and explain our findings. Where appropriate and practical, treatment may begin during the first visit.

Do you see children with autism or sensory sensitivities?

Yes. Our team has experience supporting neurodivergent children, including those with sensory processing differences. We adapt our approach to your child's individual needs and comfort.

Will my child need orthotics?

Not necessarily. Orthotics are only one possible management option. Following an assessment, your podiatrist will explain whether footwear advice, exercises, monitoring, orthotics or other care may be appropriate.
